Beauty in the simple things. Celebration of life. Raw, painful honesty. Exploring the world around us and the universe inside us through words. Leaning back on Yeshua’s chest and breathing.
My name is Hannah Whatley. I am a pursuer of Jesus, lover of NEEDTOBREATHE and Charles Martin, Anne of Green Gables and Jane Eyre enthusiast, advocate for Israel and against human trafficking, hopeless romantic, writer, literature lover, cloud dancer, and day dreamer.
Thank you for joining me in my little haven. It’s a safe place.
Imagine that you are sitting in a comfortable chair before a crackling fireplace in a farmhouse parlor. Around you are people you love. Or people you find interesting. People you have always wanted to meet. Or perhaps no one at all. Behind you is another room, a coffee shop, full of rich smells, quiet conversations, the clicking of a keyboard or two, and a few pages turning. Upstairs is a bookstore; sunlight streaming through the tall windows make the wooden shelves shine and illuminate the titles of hundreds of books holding treasures just waiting to be found.
On the back porch are two rocking chairs; you’re welcome to sit in one, listen to the wind in the pastureland grasses, and sip hot coffee or tea. Someone just might join you in the other chair, Someone who knows your soul.
Outside is a garden, wild or perfectly English, you can decide. In the midst of the magnificent colors and fairy lights floating in the trees is a little cottage, and inside that little cottage you will find little people. Children, laughing, reading, drawing, or playing pretend.
That is where you are. This is my little haven, where stories and soul speak are created, heard, and understood. This is my community, and I’m so happy you’re here.
Make yourself at home.
